Hell's Creative is a Full Service Digital Ads Agency based out of New York City. They were recently nominated as finalists for 3 Drum Ad Awards alongside IBM Watson, Adobe, & MediaCom

Max, the CEO of Hell's Creative approached me in May of 2019 asking for help implementing Google Tag Manager Custom Events for one of their clients. From there, we developed a relationship where I was able to freelance for the Hell's team helping them with digital ads tracking, consulting, and one-on-one coaching. 


The Hell's Creative team already had a sophisticated digital ads team serving their own client base. What they needed was someone with strong abilities to work on the web tracking & analytics front installing pixels, tags, setting up custom events, and custom reports. They needed someone who was well versed in Google Tag Manager & all of the other major tracking implementation tools. 

Additionally, they were looking for someone to help train their new Google Ads employee and help him develop his advertising toolbelt so that they could continue to provide a best-in-class service to their clients.

The Strategy

I integrated with the Hell's team in a matter of months, communicating with their internal stakeholders, as well their client's teams as well. I work most closely with Arielle, their account manager where we coordinate on client onboarding, tracking, and reporting ads results to clients. To date, we've fully onboarded over 25 brand new clients on Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, and more. 

When it came to training their new Google Ads employee, Mark and I meet for 1.5 hours every week where we talk about advertising theory & best practices for the first half of our call. The second half of our calls are dedicated to specific client work. 

The Results

Working with Hell's Creative has been a symbiotic and ongoing relationship for the past 13 months. We've successfully ramped up 25+ clients on all the major ad platforms, we've increased the overall ads knowledge of the Hell's Creative ads team, and have improved Hell's client experience and ads results.
